Meet Dr. Christina Gojmerac

Dr. Christina Gojmerac is a psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to practice in the areas of neuropsychology and clinical psychology. She completed a Ph.D. at the University of Toronto and clinical internship at Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care.

Her practice involves the assessment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning in adults and older adults. She has a special interest in geriatric neuropsychology, which means she has specific training and expertise in providing assessment and intervention to older adults. She has over 15 years experience evaluating a wide variety of conditions, including acquired brain injury (e.g., stroke, traumatic brain injury), neurological and neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease), and psychiatric disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar disorder).

In addition to assessment, she provides cognitive interventions to individuals with neurocognitive disorders and provides educational groups to promote brain care and healthy cognitive and emotional aging. Dr. Gojmerac splits her time between inpatient/outpatient neuropsychology at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and private practice. She holds a part-time academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.
